The Children's Cancer Foundation® is a charity committed to raising funds for building facilities and for the research and treatment of cancers that affect children.
Since its founding, over 28 million dollars has been given in grants by the foundation.
All contributions are tax deductible under our 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status.
This foundation is affiliated with some of the nation's foremost pediatric oncology centers, but is NOT part of any other organization.

Shirley Howard has been recognized by the Champions of Pediatric Research Awards for her dedication and work with The Children's Cancer Foundation ®. The Awards were presented at the Rayburn House Office Building Foyer. Other recipients included Senator Orin Hatch (R-UT) and Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA). Shirley was honored in Washington, D.C. as the 2004 Outstanding Older Worker from Maryland. In November 2004, the Food Dealers Council of Maryland Retailers Association (MRA) inducted Shirley Howard into the Maryland Food Industry Hall of Fame, and Giant Food selected her to receive their Lifetime Achievement Award.
